Police log for February 25, 2011

  • Someone attempted to enter a residence by pushing out the window between 9 a.m. Monday and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1510 Village Crossing Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    The person caused $100 in damage to the screen window, $200 in damage to the window, and $250 in damage to two doors, reports state.
  • Someone destroyed a cement wall between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 10:56 a.m. Wednesday at 109 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone broke the passenger side window of a black 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe at about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday at 400 Presque Isle Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    The person stole a GPS worth $250, an iPod worth $250, an iPod charger worth $15 and a bottle of Febreeze worth $6, reports state.
    All items except for the bottle of Febreeze were returned to the owner, who is a Duke student, reports state.
    The person caused $275 in damage to the vehicle, reports state.
  • Someone thought another person was at his apartment to “get him” at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at 1250 Ephesus Church Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
