Dino S. Cervigni, a professor in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at UNC-CH, has been selected to receive an Annual Award for Excellence in Teaching by the UNC Board of Governors.
The awards are given annually to a tenured faculty member from each campus who has taught at their institution longer than seven years.
The Board of Governors selected 17 of its most outstanding faculty from across the UNC-system campuses to receive the 17th Annual Awards for Excellence in Teaching.
Each award winner will receive a commemorative bronze medallion and a $7,500 cash prize.
Recipients come from various academic disciplines and were nominated by special committees at their respective universities.
The Board of Governors’ Committee on Personnel and Tenure selected recipients, who will receive their awards during the spring graduation ceremony on their campus.
