Hillsborough police arrested a 37-year-old man on charges of common-law robbery, resisting and delaying a public officer and possession of marijuana at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday, shortly after a person was robbed at BB&T on South Churton Street while trying to make a deposit.
Police spotted Frederick Lamont Wardlow, of 517 Tuliptree Road in Hillsborough, riding a bicycle away from the bank. The officer attempted to stop the man, who kept riding the bike, before abandoning it and fleeing on foot.
