  • A man was punched while trying to enter a neighbor’s residence at 1:04 a.m. Thursday at 105 Bright Sun Place, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone entered a business asking for money at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at 210 Henderson St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • A 46-year-old Pittsboro man was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, weapon possession by a felon and carrying a concealed weapon at 3:16 a.m. Thursday at Nunn Street at Sunset Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Steven Wallace Sanders was arrested after he fled from a traffic stop because he was in possession of firearms, reports state. He was taken to Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond, reports state.
  • Someone vandalized a blue 1994 Chevrolet Corsica at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at 120 Banks Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    Damage to the vehicle was valued at $500, reports state.
  • Someone’s motorcycle was wrecked after he allowed another person to ride it between 6:10 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. Sunday at 751 Trinity Court, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
