- A 28-year-old Chapel Hill woman was charged with assault with a deadly weapon at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel Hill Police Department at 828 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports. Candice Patrice Covington was arrested after she assaulted another person. She was taken to the Orange County Jail and held under no bond, reports state.
- A truck hit a low hanging phone wire, causing $50 in damage, at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday at 505 Church St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
- A drunk and disruptive person broke glass windows and a door by using his hands at 3 a.m. Wednesday at 304 Columbia Place East, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The person caused $200 in damage to the window, $250 in damage to the window pane, $450 in damage to the door and glass door pane, reports state.
