The first-seeded North Carolina men’s basketball team fell to second-seeded Duke in the finals of the ACC Tournament, 75-58.
After pulling off late comebacks against Miami and Clemson in the previous two games of the tournament, UNC fell behind early, but could not mount a run at rival Duke.
The Blue Devils led 25-8 with nine minutes left in the first half and 42-28 at the half.
Nolan Smith paced Duke with 20 points, with Harrison Barnes leading the Tar Heels with 16.
UNC received a No. 2 seed in the East Regional will play Long Island University on Friday in Charlotte at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
