TO THE EDITOR:
With UNC’s recent accomplishment of being named the top entrepreneurial campus by Forbes.com, we wanted to draw students’ attention to the variety of opportunities to get involved with entrepreneurship and innovation here.
UNC wants to focus on cultivating and fostering entrepreneurial thinking among its student body, and everyone is encouraged to take advantage of that.
Some people immediately associate entrepreneurship with business, but that is not always the case. Social, scientific, and artistic entrepreneurship are great ways to connect whatever you’re interested in to effective strategies and new ideas.
Our school provides students with the education and inspiration to start a future Fortune 500 company, or spearhead a non-profit organization that will change the world.
Whatever students are interested in, they should take advantage of these awesome resources. There are many ways to get inspired to begin your entrepreneurial career. Visit revupinnovation.com (run by UNC students) or check out the entrepreneurship minor.
Also, thank Chancellor Holden Thorp and Buck Goldstein for all that they do to foster such an innovative environment here at UNC. We are incredibly lucky to be a part of this remarkably innovative university.
