For the second straight game, the North Carolina men’s lacrosse team was just one goal short.
After falling last week to John Hopkins 10-9, UNC (7-4, 1-2 ACC) lost in overtime to Virginia 11-10.
UNC never led in the game but scored three goals in the final three minutes to force the overtime period.
Virginia’s Steele Stanwick scored his 23rd goal of the season with 46 seconds left in overtime to win the game for the Cavaliers.
