  • Someone was shooting at cars between 5:38 p.m. and 5:48 p.m. Monday on the 700 block of Pritchard Ave., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone entered a residence through the basement door and stole $35,321 worth of jewelry and other items between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday at 629 Brookview Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole rings, earrings, bracelets, a necklace, flash drives, antiques and a laptop, reports state.
  • A dumpster fire was reported between 9:11 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday at the Hargraves Center at 216 N. Roberson St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The burned dumpster was valued at $500, reports state.
  • A stranger requested payment for yard work prior to services between 10:51 a.m. March 24 and 10:52 a.m. Monday at 111 Ridge Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
