Three Tar Heels homered in the rubber game of UNC’s series at N.C. State to give the softball team its fourth-straight ACC series win.
UNC (26-15, 9-3 ACC) dropped the opener after freshman Lori Spingola gave up three runs in the first inning and the Tar Heels failed to recover.
The Wolfpack (18-19, 2-8 ACC) hung around for five innings during the second game, but Jordan Scarboro’s homer sparked a six-run frame that helped UNC even the series with a 10-2 win.
