  • Someone broke through a glass door with a rock and stole items from a business between 3:04 a.m. and 4:09 a.m. Tuesday at 117 Old Durham Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Items stolen include 170 cigarette cartons valued at $8,500, 14 cigars valued at $362 and a garbage can valued at $35, reports state.
  • Someone vandalized the hood of a car with paint between 7 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Monday on Smith Level Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Damage to the vehicle was valued at $500, reports state.
  • Someone possibly received threatening emails by mistake at 10:59 p.m. Monday at 315 Burris Place, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone frightened and followed a victim at 6:30 p.m. Monday on Bollingwood Trail, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone reported that a raccoon caused a problem around a dumpster at 9:55 p.m. Thursday at 123 Moss Bark Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone took items from a laundry room that belonged to another person between 8 p.m. May 25 and 5 p.m. May 26 at 107 Hamilton Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a pink towel valued at $50, a teal towel valued at $50 and a laundry bag valued at $25, reports state.
  • Someone received strange emails and a check while posting for a roommate online at 8:23 p.m. May 13 at 331 Providence Glen Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone stole a Carolina blue and silver bicycle between 8 a.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Monday at 101 Lloyd Street, according to Carrboro police reports. The person also stole a silver helmet with a black visor and a black cable lock, reports state.
  • Someone stole a cellphone after entering a residence to get a drink of water at 5:32 p.m. Saturday at 404 Jones Ferry Road, according to Carrboro police reports. The phone was later recovered, reports state.
  • Someone reported a bat infestation at 5:40 p.m. Sunday at 112 Woods Walk Court, according to Carrboro police reports. One baby bat was found injured, reports state.
