Someone abandoned a dog at a police substation at 501 Sykes St. at 7:18 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone broke and entered at 640 Morgan Creek Road between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person pried open a sliding door and stole $2,150 worth of property, including a flat-screen TV, a Lenovo notebook and cash, reports state.

Someone reported a suspicious condition at 109 Savannah Terrace at 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The person heard the door opening and footsteps in the house, reports state.

Someone removed a $200 brass connection from a line at 140 W. Franklin St. between 4 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone took property left at the rear door of Sugarland Bakery at 140 E. Franklin St. between 3 p.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole $100 in cocoa, reports state.

Someone defrauded an innkeeper at 206 W. Main St. between 5:30 p.m. and 5:56 p.m. Wednesday, according to Carrboro police reports. Two female subjects left Akai Hana, a restaurant, without paying the $42.10 bill, reports state.

Someone reported a possible suspicious person on school grounds at 201 Rock Haven Road at 7:45 p.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.
