The Kentucky Wildcats will travel to Chapel Hill on Dec. 14, 2013 to resume their series with the North Carolina men’s basketball team.
The Tar Heels will return the favor by heading to Rupp Arena in the 2014-15 season. This season marks the first time the two schools haven’t played since the 1999-2000 season.
The two programs have met 35 times and the Tar Heels have won 22 of those meetings including six of the last nine.
“I think it’s a great series for both schools and our fans as well as college basketball fans period,” coach Roy Williams said in a release. “North Carolina and Kentucky have great traditions and, regardless of who you pull for, fans mark this as a must-see game on the schedule.”
