Perhaps best known for what would have been ConnectCarolina 2.0, student body president candidate Winston Howes has some big time ideas for the University — specifically in terms of improving efficiency and providing students with resources to maximize their success.
That being said, his platform lacks the substance needed to land him the endorsement.
If Howes doesn’t wind up victorious on election night, the student body president elect would do well to include Howes in his or her circle.
While Howes’ personality and skillset might be better suited for some sort of technological czar position than for president, his technological knowhow and student-first attitude would certainly be of tremendous use to any administration looking to leave a visible impact.
Technology is without question at the heart of student life, but this does not replace the experience and fortitude needed to be the sole voice of the student body.
