UNC student Charles Talmadge, 20, was charged Friday with breaking and entering, resist/obstruct/delay of arrest, assault on law enforcement officers, vandalism, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Alert Carolina, UNC Department of Public Safety officers responded to a 11:18 p.m. report of a male student acting erratically on the third floor of Lewis Residence Hall on North Campus.
Talmadge, a resident of Lewis, reportedly sexually assaulted a female, according to the Alert Carolina message. He is an information science major from Charlotte.
The student has been brought into custody and the DPS investigation is ongoing, the message stated.
