An armed robbery occurred on campus near Memorial Hall around 11 p.m. Friday, according to an Alert Carolina email sent to students early Saturday morning.
Two armed men approached the victims near Memorial Hall, demanded their wallets and iPhones and pushed them to the ground, the email said. The men then ran towards Franklin Street.
The men are described as being between 25 and 30 years old. The email states the first man is around 6 feet tall with facial hair, and the second man is thin, 6'2" tall and has braids or dreadlocks.
UNC police are currently investigating and ask that anyone with information call 911 or Crimestoppers at 919-942-7515.
