UPDATE (6:23 p.m.): Chapel Hill Police said the department does not suspect foul play in its investigation into a dead body found at the Lutheran Campus Ministry at 300 E. Rosemary St., according to a press release from the department.

Police arrived at 4:28 p.m. Tuesday and found a dead man in the parking lot. Police are still investigating his cause of death.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515.

A body was found in the parking lot of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon.

Police have closed Rosemary Street between Pickard Lane and Hillsborough Street.

Police appeared to have been investigating the path between the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority house and the dumpster, said MacKinsey Cole, a UNC sophomore who lives near the crime scene. The Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority house is located at 307 E. Franklin St. and its back fence is adjacent to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Cole said the ambulance arrived at 4:30 p.m.

Police are not commenting on the incident at this time.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
