Police log for Nov. 3, 2014

Someone vandalized a car by breaking the driver's side front window at the 1500 block of Halifax Road at 10:27 a.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person caused $200 worth in damage, reports state.

•  Someone reported a suspicious person at an elementary school at 601 Meadowmont Lane at 1 p.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

•  Someone possessed an open container of alcohol in a parking lot at 150 E. Rosemary St. at 1:03 p.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

•  Someone reported an undisciplined child who was biting and hitting a parent at 106 N. Elliot Road at 6:14 p.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. 

•  Someone called and threatened a person's life at 760 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 5:53 p.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. 

•  Someone reported hearing a gunshot at the 1200 block of Tallyho Trail at 7:33 p.m. Thursday, according to Carrboro police reports.

Officers were unable to find the source of the gunshot or anything else suspicious in the area, reports state. 

•  Someone was driving while impaired and without an operator's license at the 100 block of Main Street at 10:22 p.m. Thursday, according to Carrboro police reports. 

The person could not maintain a straight line of travel and was also charged with driving left of center, reports state.

•  Someone reported loud music coming from an apartment at the 500 block of Jones Ferry Road at 1:09 p.m. Friday, according to Carrboro police reports.
