Someone vandalized a windshield in a parking lot at 100 S. Columbia St. between 8 a.m. and 6:12 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The damage was valued at $5,000, reports state.

Someone reported damage to property in a parking lot at 1800 E. Franklin St. at 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

A shopping cart hit a parked car, reports state. The damage was valued at $100.

The balcony door of a residence was open, reports state.
