Police log for Jan. 13, 2016

• Someone committed larceny on East Franklin Street and Park Place at 10:33 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person bent the top of a sign pole, causing $50 worth of damage, and stole the street sign, valued at $200, reports state.

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 1200 block of Ephesus Church Road at 12:17 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone damaged property at 602 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at 2:07 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person threw a bottle through a vehicle window, causing $100 worth of damage, reports state.

• Someone used counterfeit money at Mediterranean Deli at 410 W. Franklin St. between 7:00 p.m. Sunday and 2:33 p.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone broke into and entered a vehicle at 106 Ashley Forest Road at 1:15 a.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole $849.50 worth of items, reports state.

• Someone possessed an open container of beer at 140 W. Franklin St. at 10:33 a.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone broke into and entered a vehicle at 460 W. Franklin St. between 4:35 a.m. and 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person entered an unlocked car and stole $332 worth of items, that were later recovered, reports state.
