Police log for Jan. 14, 2016

• Someone trespassed at Insomnia Cookies at 145 E. Franklin St. at 2:19 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person was on the roof of the business, reports state.

• Someone reported loud shouting and cursing on the 2700 block of Homestead Road at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone reported damage to property at Carolina Apartments at 401 N.C. Highway 54 at 9 p.m. Sunday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person reported that a soccer ball kicked by children in the vicinity damaged a window to an apartment, reports state.

• Someone reported a loud party on the 200 block of N.C. Highway 54 at 3:58 p.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

• Someone committed larceny from a person on the 300 block of East Main Street at 10:50 p.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person stole a cellphone, valued at $600, reports state.

• Someone reported loud music on the 500 block of N.C. Highway 54 at 1:59 p.m. Tuesday, according to Carrboro police reports.

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 200 block of Purple Leaf Place at 5:12 a.m. Saturday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person broke a window, causing $200 worth of damage, and stole a laptop, valued at $1,200; an iPad, valued at $1,000; and a keyboard, valued at $80, reports state.
