Franklin Street: UNC fans rush and set bonfires, but no arrests yet reported

Fans rushed to Franklin Street to celebrate UNC's 83-66 win over Syracuse in the Final Four game in Houston tonight.

Chapel Hill Police have been preparing for the potential celebrations for a few days, setting up lights, barricades and portable bathrooms for the weekend. 

At 11:30 p.m., no arrests had been reported, said the Chapel Hill Police watch commander. There will be a midnight press briefing.

The Uber surge is currently 4.9 times the usual fare, with a $19.93 minimum.
