Police log for April 11, 2016

• Someone broke into and entered a residence without force on the 700 block of Highgrove Drive at 3:39 p.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person entered an open garage, reports state.

• Someone reported a loud party on the 600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone communicated threats on the 100 block of Ashley Forest Road at 3:46 a.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone was trespassed from McDonald’s at 409 W. Franklin St. at 7:03 a.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone committed larceny from the Harris Teeter at 116 W. Barbee Chapel Road at 11:14 a.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole meat, valued at $32, reports state. The meat was later recovered.

• Someone committed fraud on the 300 block of Estes Drive at 6:39 p.m. Thursday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person hired a taxi, went inside their apartment and did not come back out to pay the fare, reports state. The fare was $69.

• Someone injured personal property on the 500 block of Jones Ferry Road between 8 p.m. and 10:09 p.m. Wednesday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person broke the windshield of someone’s car and slashed two of the car’s tires, causing $550 in damage to the vehicle, reports state.
