Pancakes and Canadian Bacon: a comedy tour coming to Chapel Hill

While your mouth might be watering like mine is when you hear "Pancakes and Canadian Bacon," this isn't just a breakfast spread. Pancakes and Canadian Bacon is the comedy group composed of Dusty Slay and Hannah Hogan, hailing from Alabama and Canada respectively.

They are currently on a four-stop tour, and will be having a show Thursday, Sept. 15th, at the DSI Comedy Theater. Their comedy material is a lot like the title of their duo — light, fluffy and makes you feel good. They don't talk about politics or make crude jokes, they have a hilarious show that "celebrates being alive rather than complaining about it."

They met each other doing open-mics in New York, and they realized they meshed well together. Hogan was a successful actress in Canada, but moved to the United States because she said our entertainment market has so much more to offer than Canada's.

They actually wanted to change the name of their comedy couple, "Pancakes and Canadian Bacon," after their first tour because they hated the name. Then people kept referring to them as "Pancakes and Canadian Bacon," so the name stuck like syrup. Also, Canadian bacon is actually called "Peameal bacon" in Canada.

You can buy tickets to their show at the door at DSI
