The weekend is upon us and there are so many things going on in the Chapel Hill area. Staff writer Krupa Kaneria compiled a list of the best events in the area this weekend.

On Campus:

UNC Men’s Soccer Vs. NC State

Do you love sports and cheering on your Tar Heels? If the answer is “yes,” come out to support your men's soccer team this Friday.

When: Friday, Sept. 2. 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Where: Fetzer Field

Cost: Free with a One Card

UNC Volleyball vs. TCU

When: Saturday, Sept. 3. 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Carmichael Arena

Cost: Free with a One Card

Paperhand Puppet Intervention — "The Beautiful Beast"

The local Paperhand Puppet Intervention group is back at UNC. This time, they're talking about climate change. 

When: Sept. 3 and Sept. 4. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Where: Forest Theatre 

Cost: Suggested ticket price is $15

Around Chapel Hill:

IBERICA Early Music Festival 2016

With art and performances from composers from Spain, the United States and more, events for the music festival will happen throughout the weekend.

Out and About:

Dark Water Rising — Carrboro

Dark Water Rising is a Native American indie rock/blues band from Robeson County.  

When: Saturday, Sept. 3, 10:00 pm

Where: 2nd Wind (118 East Main Street, Carrboro) 

Foam Drop — Raleigh

Cannons and super soakers will be filled with foam. Strangers in Raleigh are going to dump foam on you. It should be fun. 

When: Friday Sept. 2. 9:00 p.m.

Where: Lincoln Theatre, Raleigh (126 E Cabarrus St, Raleigh)

Cost: $15 to $20
