A man was transported to UNC Hospitals in serious condition following a stabbing near Old Chicago Saturday night.
The stabbing occurred during an altercation at 500 Church St., said Sgt. Rodney Matthews of the Chapel Hill Police Department.
The stabbing was reported at 7:20 p.m., and Heath Andre Brittian, 49, was arrested at the scene. Police reports say Brittian was armed with a knife.
