Glasshalfull is marking its 10th anniversary with a yearlong celebration.
Jim Wald, co-owner of the Carrboro restaurant, bar and wine shop, said the kickoff will be a winemaker dinner on Feb. 28 with the winery Domaine Gérard.
"Florent Bourgeois is the owner and winemaker of that winery and he’s going to be there for that night," he said.
The dinner starts at 7 p.m., but there will be more events throughout the year as part of the celebration, including another party at the end of March.
“Each month we’re going to bring back dishes that guests and the kitchen have liked over the 10 years, and also different wine promos, some old specials that we’ve had before,” Wald said.
Glasshalfull, which is located at 106 S. Greensboro St., also collaborates with the University as part of an effort to support the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
“We started in November, and it’s going to be an ongoing thing,” Wald said.
Every Tuesday, 10 percent of Glasshalfull’s gross sales go to support the cancer center.
The anniversary celebration is part of a transition for Glasshalfull, as former partner Mickey Maloney retired near the end of 2016. Executive Chef Tony Del Sarto is now a co-owner with Wald.
