Police log for Feb. 7, 2017

• Someone committed non-criminal damage to property on the 800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 3:25 a.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person damaged a tire, valued at $250, reports state. 

• Someone drove while impaired on the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 2:46 a.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person was initially stopped for speeding before being arrested for DWI, reports state. 

• Someone reported loud music and a party on the 400 block of West Franklin Street at 2:01 a.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone drove while impaired on the 100 block of South Estes Drive at 2:57 a.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone reported vandalism and damage to property on the 300 block of Oak Tree Drive at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person removed magnets from the victim's car and wedged a can lid under the tire, reports state. 

• Someone reported loud music and a party on the 1500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 2:39 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone reported loud music and a party on the 100 block of Stinson Street at 11:33 p.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person then resisted the officer, reports state.  

• Someone reported vandalism and damage to property on the 700 block of Gomains Avenue at 8:06 a.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person threw a rock through the back window of a car, causing $400 in damage, reports state.
