Harry Edwards, a member of the Joe for SBP campaign, filed a third complaint against the McKnight campaign on Feb. 21.
The complaint includes two falsification charges and one harmful and malicious behavior charge.
In his complaint, Edwards said McKnight's defense in a previous hearing argued that Katharine Shriver was no longer a member of the McKnight campaign when she filed a complaint against the Joe for SBP campaign — and thus his campaign should not be held responsible for the falsification in Shriver's complaint.
Edwards said in his complaint that evidence shows Shriver was still included in campaign messages and decisions after McKnight said she had left the campaign — resulting in the first charge of falsification.
The second falsification charge is about Shriver using information in her second complaint against the Nail campaign that had been proven false in a previous hearing.
In the complaint, Edwards said there is a harmful and malicious behavior violation because Shriver made false allegations to harm Nail's campaign.
The hearing for this complaint will most likely happen later this week, said Paul Kushner, chairperson of the UNC Board of Elections.
