Police log for March 28, 2017

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 100 block of Hamilton Road at 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person broke into the residence through an unlocked door and took $20 in cash, reports state.

• Someone reported a towed vehicle on the 5600 block of Fordham Boulevard at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

• Someone reported identity theft on the 100 block of Nolen Lane at 1:10 p.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person opened up several credit accounts, reports state.

• Someone reported a suspicious person on the 1100 block of N.C. Highway 54 at 6:38 p.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person knocked on the door of the residence, reports state.

• Someone reported fraud at Caribou Coffee at 1408 E. Franklin St. at 10:24 p.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person told the staff they were being audited, reports state.

• Someone reported motorcycle theft on the 5600 block of Old Chapel Hill Road at 8 a.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The stolen motorcycle is valued at $11,000, reports state.
