An incident of domestic violence at one of UNC’s graduate and family housing communities left one resident dead and two injured early Sunday morning.
According to a statement released by the University, the incident occurred around 12:10 Sunday morning at the Baity Hill family housing community. A UNC Police homicide investigation is ongoing.
Randy Young, media relations manager for UNC Public Safety, said the people involved were a husband, a wife, and a five-year-old child. The child died during the incident. The parents were transported for medical treatment and a suspect is receiving medical treatment. The weapon involved was a knife.
