What do professors want in their offices? Mostly espresso machines

Staff Writer Madeleine Fraley asked professors: If you could add anything fun to UNC – from campus-wide to your office – what would it be?

Lois Boynton

Associate journalism professor

“The thing that we have been asking for in Carroll Hall for at least two decades in the Ad/PR suite is an espresso machine.”

Sarah Treul Roberts

Political science assistant professor

“Something with students. Something like a weekly pick-up basketball game or an underground faculty running club.”

Diane Pozefsky

Computer science professor

“An espresso machine in my office.”

Gary Bishop

Computer science professor

“A bounce house maybe? Google put one of those here once. Or something for the students. Students come see me all the time, so a candy dispenser for them.”
