Word on the Street: What is your biggest fear?

AHS Fear WOTS
First-year law students (from left to right) Miranda Goot, Mackenzie Harmon and Haven Clark

The seventh season of American Horror Story premiered Tuesday night.

As a rule, I do not watch scary things because they scare the bejeebers out of me.

In honor of my personal code and its antithesis, "American Horror Story," I asked UNC students what their biggest fears are.

Sophomore Bekah Bowers

Chemistry major

Biggest Fear: Centipedes

Reason: She does not like insects.

First-year Kenan Kurtz

Biology and psychology major

Biggest Fear: His chemistry lab on Monday

Reason: It’s not easy.

Sophomore Annabeth Poe

Journalism major

Biggest Fear: Getting stabbed in the eye

Reason: She had a fingernail fly into her eye one time, and she thought she was going blind.

Sophomore Alexis Byrd

English major

Biggest Fear: Losing family members, but also anything around the eyes

First-year Law Student Miranda Goot

Biggest Fear: Being burned alive or the opposite of drowning (not quite as afraid of this as being burned alive)

Reason: It terrifies her.

First-year Law Student Mackenzie Harmon

Biggest Fear: Buried alive

Reason: No reason

First-year Law Student Haven Clark

Biggest Fear: Dying from suffocation

Reason: The claustrophobic feeling of not being able to escape
