TO THE EDITOR:
A set of four cottages located at 109 Park Place has qualified as reasonably-priced, stand-alone rentals in the heart of town and campus for over seven decades.
Recently sold to new owners, they are now in danger of disappearing from this site where they provide historic charm on the border of Battle Park, as there is currently a petition under consideration for their removal.
If you have an interest in helping to preserve these structures, it is vital that you attend the Tuesday, Oct. 10 meeting of the Chapel Hill Historic District Commission at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall to speak on behalf of preserving these places that supply irreplaceable magic to our landscape!
