Moving trucks line up outside The Daily Tar Heel's former Rosemary Street office.

The Daily Tar Heel is moving from its 151 E Rosemary Street location where it has operated from since 2010. The move started on Thursday morning and will continue into next week.

The move comes during a historic time for the news organization as it will turn 125 years old on Feb. 23.

"I am happy because it is good for the paper," said senior Jessica Swanson, managing editor of the DTH. "I am sad to see things change, and it means I'm close to graduating."

Chapel Fowler, sophomore and DTH sports editor, is excited what the move means for the future of the paper.

"I think it is the smartest move as far as the financial situation," he said. "I want see this paper succeed."

During this time the DTH office will be closed, but you can still reach out via email or phone.
