Opinion: A guide to escaping Chapel Hill

Roller Skates2-01.png

If you’re stuck in Chapel Hill this spring break, have no fear. There are tons of fun, affordable and exciting things to do outside of the Chapel Hill bubble.

In fact, Chapel Hill is lucky to be surrounded by neighboring cities that have an abundance of things to do for both tourists and long-time residents.

The editorial board has come up with a list of activities and sights to see if you’re spending your spring break in the 919.

Also, all of this activities are accessible even if you don’t have a car or reliable form of transportation.

Keep in mind that Chapel Hill Transit’s hours of operation are adjusted during spring break, so be sure to check which routes are available if you do decide to venture within!

While many of us feel the pressures of traveling somewhere luxurious or far away for spring break, it may not be an option for others.

That doesn’t mean that your spring break can’t be filled with lasting memories, especially if you have a close friend who is stuck in the Triangle with you!

Of course, spring break is also a great time to unwind and recharge after half a semester’s worth of assignments and other forms of stress, so feel free to spend cozy days staying in.

Whatever you're doing, don’t forget to practice some self-care and put the “break” in spring break!
