Maple View Farm celebrated National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day by serving an ice cream themed breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

  • July 14 - Yoga for Families -  Parents, entertain the kids and relax at the same time. Your kids can enjoy some water games while you take a breather. (Funny Girl Farm)
  • July 14 - Farm Movie Night with Goats - This event sells itself. Bring the family for a fun night filled with flicks and the best movie partners: baby goats! (Spring Haven Farm)
  • July 14 - Wild Foods and Medicinal Plant Walk - For a relaxing and educational weekend activity, learn how to turn backyard plants into medicine cabinet and kitchen staples. (Piedmont Wildlife Center)

The Eco-Institute at Pickards Mountain in Chapel Hill is dedicated to working to solve global environmental issues at a local level

  • July 15 - National Ice Cream Day - What makes Maple View ice cream even better? A portion of sales going to charity and live music! (Maple View Farm)
  • July 15 - Jaws Double Feature - Two for the price of one! Enjoy a night of thrills and chills with a classic movie date night. (Carolina Theater in Durham)
  • July 15 - Jazz Brunch - Man, jazz brunch sounds insane. Free jazz and a cozy spot to lay a blanket? Sounds like a nice morning to me. (Weaver Street Market)
  • July 15 - PickleFest - If you're a fan of anything brined, fermented or pickled, come enjoy a feast of ferment with this pickle-centric food festival. (The RickHouse)
