  • Damage to property was reported on the 1800 block of E. Franklin Street at 11:46 a.m. on Thursday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

The report states a pedestrian crosswalk sign valued at $5,000 was damaged.

  • Someone reported a breaking and entering on the 100 block of Kipling Lane at 9:48 a.m. on Friday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

The report states a refrigerator valued at $2,199 was stolen along with a range hood vent valued at $250.

  • A second degree trespassing was reported on the 400 block of W. Franklin Street at 10:16 a.m. on Friday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

The report states the suspect returned to McDonald's after being trespassed.

  • Someone reported trespassing and concealment of merchandise on the 100 block of W. Franklin Street at 2:37 p.m. on Saturday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

The report states the suspect attempted to conceal Land O' Lakes butter valued at $4.99 and an FM radio transmitter valued at $29.99 from the Franklin Street Target.

  • Shoplifting was reported on the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 1:01 a.m. on Sunday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

The report states the suspect tried to run out of Harris Teeter with two 24-packs of Budweiser beer, valued at a total of $42.

  • Shoplifting was reported on the 100 block of W. Franklin Street at 3:29 p.m. on Sunday, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

The report states the suspect attempted to steal vitamins, jeans and earrings from Target.
