UNC tennis' Alexa Graham to represent U.S. at Pan American Games

North Carolina women’s tennis player Alexa Graham will represent the U.S. in the 2019 Pan American Games, the USTA announced today. Graham, a rising senior, is the lone collegiate women’s player named to the team, and will be joined by Usue Arconada, Caroline Dolehide, Kevin King, Michael Redlicki and Sam Riffice.

The Pan American Games are held every four years for countries in North, South and Central America, and will run from July 29 to Aug. 4 in Lima, Peru.

According to a press release, over 6,000 athletes from 41 countries will compete across 36 sports in this year’s Games, and will feature men’s and women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles competition.

Graham, a Garden City, N.Y. native, is ranked No. 728 in singles and was named an All-American last season at UNC. She went 37-7 in singles for the Tar Heels last year and was ranked as high as No. 3 in the nation. In her college career, Graham has a 106-22 record in singles and a 55-17 record in doubles.
