UNC’s Memorial Hall is home to the University’s and the state’s premier performing arts spaces: Carolina Performing Arts.
Now in its 15th season, Carolina Performing Arts hosts a variety of talent from across the country, such as musical artists, orchestras, dancers, and other performers. It hopes that through its performances, CPA can present an exceptional arts experience that “pushes boundaries, invites co-creation and immersion and engages curiosity.”
The arts are an integral piece of the UNC community. Many students and community members have demonstrated this by supporting CPA and the artists that perform there. It’s not uncommon to see all 1,434 seats filled in Memorial Hall for national talent.
Furthermore, with its prime location right across from the Old Well, Carolina Performing Arts and Memorial Hall is one of the crown jewels of Carolina’s campus. There’s no question as to why they won the award for best performing arts space.
