Authenticity and tradition are the name of the game for this Chapel Hill favorite.
Brothers Angelo and Vincenzo Marrone have been dishing out Italian favorites since 1980. It seems unbelievable for a restaurant to last that long in Chapel Hill, but IP3 has survived for a reason. It’s that same reason that DTH readers have voted IP3 the best pizza place in town.
Although pizza is the classic offering, the menu boasts so much more – baked specialties like lasagna and manicotti, house favorites like fettuccine alfredo and chicken parmigiana. If it’s an Italian favorite, IP3 has got it.
It’s also a great place to catch a UNC basketball game or some international soccer. The wall decorations speak to the pizza joint’s spot in the hearts of town natives – signed jerseys and pictures of famous athletes dining there contribute to IP3’s legend. That’s amore.
