Spicy 9: Best Asian Food in Chapel Hill

For the third year in a row, Spicy 9 has been voted Best Asian Food by UNC students and DTH readers. 

Spicy 9 has developed a strong reputation among students and the community based on its commitment to fresh ingredients, creative dishes and a unique atmosphere complete with Asian-inspired finishes and a fish tank.  

A staple of the Chapel Hill’s restaurant scene since 2014, Spicy 9’s buy-one-get-one sushi is one of the best and most popular deals in town. 

But while sushi and sashimi certainly make up the bulk of the offerings, what really sets the restaurant apart is the rest of the menu. From poke bowls, to drunken noodles, to your favorite Asian entrees, Spicy 9 has something for every palate. 

And the dining experience wouldn’t be complete without something to wash down your food. With a different drink special every day of the week, guests can complement their meal with classic Sake, Saketinis, Sake Bombs and more, all at an affordable price point.
