Four-star wide receiver Andre Greene Jr. from Richmond, Va. committed to North Carolina football on Wednesday — the 16th recruit in the program's class of 2022.

Greene, who is ranked 71st overall in his class and ninth among wide receivers in the nation per 247Sports, moves head coach Mack Brown’s fourth recruiting class in his second stint in Chapel Hill to No. 9 nationally and No. 1 in the ACC.

Greene’s commitment also gives UNC its seventh prospect from the state of Virginia for the 2022 cycle and its second four-star wide receiver from the border state. Greene joins Tychaun Chapman to form a talented tandem for wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway going forward.

In his senior season at St. Christopher's School, the six-foot-three playmaker caught 35 passes for 676 yards to go along with 13 touchdowns. Greene also grabbed two interceptions and accounted for two pass breakups on defense.
