All Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools will cancel or reschedule their after-school and evening athletics, activities and events today due to threat of severe weather, according to an email sent by CHCCS.
Schools will still dismiss at their usual times. The closure includes community usage of school facilities.
A hazardous weather outlook is in place for Orange County from 1 p.m. today until 10 p.m. tonight. Over the course of this period, severe thunderstorms can potentially produce tornadoes, damaging straight line winds and hail.
