Former Brown University basketball guard Paxson Wojcik has committed to the North Carolina men's basketball team, Wojcik told On3 Sports on Monday evening.
Following two seasons as a reserve at Loyola Chicago, Wojcik became a significant contributor for Brown over the last two years and averaged 14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this past season. He was also a reliable threat from deep, knocking down 38 percent of his attempts from behind the arc.
Wojcik is the son of former UNC assistant Doug Wojcik, who held the position from 2000-2003. Following the departure of junior guard Caleb Love, who entered the transfer portal earlier on Monday, Wojcik is expected to play a key role in a retooled backcourt looking to become more consistent with its outside shooting.
