North Carolina graduate quarterback Jacolby Criswell is entering the NCAA transfer portal, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel. He will have one year of eligibility.
Thamel reported Criswell is seeking a team looking for a starting quarterback.
This season, Criswell threw for 2,459 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions in 12 games for the Tar Heels. In UNC's bowl game against UConn on Dec. 28, he completed his lone pass before exiting the game with a shoulder injury.
After beginning this season as the third-string quarterback, Criswell earned the starting job over former UNC quarterback Conner Harrell following graduate Max Johnson's leg injury in the season-opener against Minnesota.
Criswell began his collegiate career at UNC before transferring to Arkansas in 2023. In the 2024 spring transfer portal, Criswell returned to UNC for his fifth season. In total, Criswell made 11 starts for the Tar Heels.
