North Carolina went 22-13 this season with a 13-7 record in the ACC. Ranked No. 36 in the NET, the Tar Heels had 13 Quad 1 opportunities, but only won one — against UCLA in December. They went 21-1 in Quad 2-4 games, with their lone loss coming to Quad 3 Stanford at the buzzer in January.
After falling to top-ranked Duke in the ACC semifinals on Friday, the Tar Heels rested firmly on the bubble, awaiting Sunday's decision. Ultimately, UNC was able to make the cut.
