Junior Jalen Washington entered his name into the transfer portal on Tuesday, according to Inside Carolina. The 6-foot-10 forward averaged 5.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this season, averaging 15.9 minutes per game.
The four-star recruit out of high school spent three seasons with at UNC. Although he looked poised to step in at center for North Carolina in the 2024-25 season, Washington started in 16 games before his spot was awarded to junior forward Ven-Allen Lubin in January.
Washington joins sophomore guard Elliot Cadeau as the early transfer portal exits from the Tar Heels.
