Weekender Top Three 9/30-10/2

It’s progressively beginning to feel more like Fall. Start your October off right with an eclectic weekend of Chapel Hill’s best entertainment.

NC BOTANICAL GARDEN EDUCATION CENTER PRESENTS THE SCULPTURE IN THE GARDEN EXHIBITION. Opening tomorrow at the NC Botanical Garden Education Center, tucked in a peaceful escape off of Highway 54, the 23rd “Sculpture in the Garden” exhibition shows off 30 sculptors. Don’t expect all concrete Greecian statues — these sculptures are recycled wood, aluminum, stainless steel and clay, among other mediums.

CARRBORO ARTSCENTER PRESENTS FUNNY BUSINESS LIVE. The first in a monthly series of professional comedians presented by Asheville-based Funny Business Entertainment is Kyle Dunnigan. The comedian is known for his role on “Reno 911!” and his Comedy Central stand-up special.

LAB!RATORY PRESENTS SIC. An alternative script is turned into an alternative performance by LAB! Theater’s second stage, LAB!ratory.
