In conjunction with the museum’s “Carolina Collects” exhibit, the film explores the nearly half-century career of Allan Stone, a prominent New York City gallery owner and art collector.

Mau a Malawi: Stories of AIDS

This multimedia concert will celebrate the release of “Mau a Malawi,” a concept album about people living positive lives in Malawi with HIV and AIDS.

“One Flea Spare”

A play by Naomi Wallace, “One Flea Spare” is set in the 17th century in plague-stricken London. It explores the chaotic effect of the epidemic on early modern European society.

Four-time Grammy-nominated singer Angélique Kidjo will give a concert that blends numerous music styles from West African traditions to Latin American influences.

Rundquist will give a lecture on the works of painter Henry Darger, who lived in the mid-twentieth century. She will speak specifically about the imagery of good and evil in his art.

Singer/songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter has won five Grammys. Her music focuses on both her personal struggles and the larger issues within politics and American history.

A chance to talk to Mike Wiley, who will direct PlayMakers’ upcoming documentary theater production, “The Parchman Hour.” The conversation will give a behind-the-scenes perspective on the play before it opens.
